What if I told you that just by doing a simple 30 second exercise you can stop procrastination in its tracks forever?

What I am about to tell you is serious. There is only one catch though: You have to want it to work.

If you are wondering aimlessly for solutions to stop procrastination but never really implement the techniques or give them serious thought, then here is a sad news flash for you: NOTHING will cure your procrastination problem.

Techniques work but ultimately YOU are the one using them and getting the results from them or not. Your choice. And with that said, I hope you take into consideration this advice with an open mind and an open heart.

I once heard a great man say, “The secrets to life are hidden behind the work cliché.”

I find that quote enormously powerful when put into practice. You always hear things like, “work hard over a period of time.” “Just do it!” “Live in the moment.” And immediately shut down because it isn’t the freshest hip new thing. But the freshest new thing DOESN’T work.  Take the following into consideration…

Say you are looking for a solution to procrastination. You may or may not find something that works… if it does work then it is at least on some level something that has been tested and said 1,000,000 times before.
It just finally clicked the way the presenter told it to you.

You will never find a “new solution” that hasn’t been said 1,000,000 times before… only a new way to describe the solution that is more effective. So every time you hear a cliché perk your ears up and listen. Really think about the relationship it has in your life and most of all apply it.

How does this apply to stopping procrastination?

Another wise man once said, “80% of the work is just showing up.”

AKA just jump in, just do it, it’s not as bad as your mind makes it up to be. All clichés. But it works. Take a moment and really ponder that quote for a second. How many times have you procrastinated on something, finally got yourself to start whatever it was you were putting off and realized it wasn’t as bad as you thought?

If I had to make a guess, I bet it’s more times than you can count! So just jump in the water and get your feet wet, even if you have to make the stupidest excuse ever (like saying you’ll only write your name on the paper—if it’s a paper.)

Lastly I want to leave you with this… (Also said by a very wise person,) “Stop resisting it, be present and it will dissolve.”

If there was any phrase in the world to take to heart to stop procrastination immediately—I am talking within 30 seconds—it is this.

This is a spin-off of the old phrase “stop resisting it, it is not as bad as you put it to be.” And “Just live in the moment and everything will be alright.” They combined those two to make something truly incredible. It is so simple that it will be disregarded by most. But this is the closest thing to a “stop procrastination pill” you can get.

Really try it. Take a second next time you are procrastinating to just take a deep breath, shut off all mind numbing activates (TV, internet, thinking, etc..) and just sit calmly. Notice the peace, notice yourself resetting.  Notice all the resistance you were just feeling towards finishing something dissolve.

Be present and take it all in. Soon you will have a fresh start and accomplishing whatever you need to accomplish won’t be a problem. For a bonus procrastination buster, take this same relaxed present feeling into your work. You will have intense concentration and focus.

This is a borderline magic pill. Your life will never be the same if you apply it and it can stop procrastination in its tracks almost instantly.

Hope this helped,

Brandon Breaker
